Smartodont is a unique start-up company that closes the technology gap between academia and dental industry. Evolved from collaborating dental researchers and biomaterials scientists, smartodont stands for innovation and reliability.

Smartodont aims to partner with established dental companies to develop and launch new groundbreaking dental products. In addition, smartodont can tailor and produce complex ultrafine particles for various dental composite materials.

The key components behind our smart materials are highly reactive particles on a calcium-silicate and calcium-phosphate basis. These particles allow controlled release of ions, which cause various beneficial effects in dental hard tissue.

Developed products:

Bioactive gutta-percha
All-in-one root filling material that forms a true monoblock in the root canal system without any sealer.
Bone wool
Highly flexible material with a cotton-like structure. Bone grafting made easy.

Materials that are currently being developed:

- Fillers for composite resins
- Remineralizing agents for dentin
- Caries infiltration powder
- Root canal disinfectants
